Use Mercury's online claims experience, and the claims app your handler sets up to share live video of the damage.
The process
Call Mercury or use the online claims experience as soon as it is safe, and do not dispose of damaged items.
Your handler contacts you for details and walks you through next steps, sometimes using a video app to view the damage.
Mercury assesses the damage, often virtually, and applies your policy coverage.
For covered losses, Mercury arranges payment, less your deductible.
Know your coverage
Your deductible is set in your own policy, not by the carrier, so there is no single number that applies to everyone. It is the amount you pay before coverage kicks in, and your settlement is paid out less that amount.

How we help
First, the part that matters most. We work for you, not Mercury. Our job is to make sure your claim reflects the real damage, not the smallest number that closes the file.
We document your Mercury loss to the IICRC standard, with moisture readings, photos and a defensible line item scope.
We communicate with your Mercury claim handler and speak their language, so the process moves and the scope holds.
We bill Mercury directly for the covered work, so you are not floating the cost or chasing paperwork.
We work for you, not Mercury. Our job is to make sure your claim reflects the real damage.
We are a restoration contractor, not a public adjuster or an attorney. We document and bill your claim. For a coverage dispute, those professionals rely on exactly the kind of documentation we provide.

Questions
Mercury's claims hotline is 800-503-3724, available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You can also file through Mercury's online claims experience.
Call the hotline or file online as soon as it is safe. Take a room by room inventory, photograph everything, make temporary repairs to limit further damage, and keep all receipts.
Sudden and accidental water damage, like a burst pipe, is typically covered. Gradual leaks, seepage and outside flooding usually are not, and flood needs a separate policy. Check your own policy, since coverage varies.
No. In California you choose your own restoration company. Mercury can recommend a vendor, but the choice is yours, and you can choose iDri.
Under California's Fair Claims Settlement Practices Regulations, your insurer must acknowledge the claim within 15 days and accept or deny it within 40 days of receiving the documentation it needs.
