When to call
Water damage is easiest and least expensive to fix in the first 24 to 48 hours. Call if you notice any of these, and do not wait to see whether it dries on its own.
What we do
Truck-mounted and portable extraction to remove standing water fast, before it spreads into walls and subfloor.
Air movers and dehumidifiers placed to a calculated plan, not guesswork, to pull moisture out of the structure.
We find the water you cannot see, behind walls and under floors, and mark the full affected area.
Applied where needed to stop mold and bacteria from taking hold in damp materials.
Readings taken every day until materials reach dry standard, logged as proof for your claim.
The same crew rebuilds what had to come out, from drywall and paint to flooring and trim.
Know your water
The IICRC S500 standard sorts water losses into three categories. The category drives how we treat your home, and we document which one we are dealing with from the first walkthrough.
From a supply line, faucet or water heater. Safe to handle, but it migrates into materials and degrades them quickly if it sits.
Some contamination, such as a dishwasher or washing machine overflow. Needs proper cleaning, care and the right protective steps.
Grossly contaminated, from sewage or flooding, and a health hazard. Requires containment, protective equipment and safe disposal.
We also classify the loss by Class 1 through 4, which sets the drying plan and the number of machines on site. That classification is part of what we document for your adjuster, so the equipment on your invoice is justified by the standard, not guessed at.
Common causes
How it works
We answer 24/7 and dispatch the same day to stop the spread and pull out standing water.
We map every wet material and photograph the loss to the IICRC S500 standard from the first walkthrough.
Equipment runs to a drying plan, with daily readings until the structure hits dry standard, not a guess.
The same crew restores your home to pre-loss condition and walks the finished job with you.
At a glance
The short version in one place: the three water categories, how a job runs start to finish, and why acting in the first day matters. Save it or send it to a customer.

Insurance
We are not an insurer's preferred vendor. We document the full scope for you, cite the standard on every line item, and bill your carrier directly. You are not negotiating your own claim during the worst week of your year.
Questions
Within 24 to 48 hours. That is the window before mold typically begins to grow and before clean water degrades into a more contaminated category. The faster the water is extracted and drying begins, the more of your home and belongings can be saved, and the lower the final cost. If you have standing water now, the priority is stopping the source and calling for extraction, not waiting to see if it dries on its own.
Usually, if the damage is sudden and accidental, such as a burst pipe or an overflow. Most standard homeowners policies cover sudden internal water damage but exclude gradual leaks that were left unaddressed, and exclude flooding from outside, which requires separate flood insurance. Coverage turns heavily on documentation, which is why we record the loss to the IICRC S500 standard from the first visit and bill your carrier directly.
Household fans and a shop vacuum move surface water, but they do not dry the structure. Water wicks into wall cavities, under flooring, and into the subfloor, where it stays wet for weeks and grows mold long after the surface looks dry. Professional drying uses calibrated air movers and dehumidifiers, and moisture meters to confirm the structure has actually reached dry standard, not just dry to the touch.
We measure it. Rather than guessing, our technicians take moisture readings on the affected materials and compare them to a dry reference elsewhere in the home, then monitor daily until the readings meet the S500 dry standard. Those readings are documented and become part of the file your insurer relies on.
It depends on how much material is wet, how contaminated the water is, and how long it sat before drying began. A small clean-water loss in one room is far less than a Category 3 loss across several rooms that requires removal and disinfection. Because we bill insurance directly on covered losses, most homeowners pay their deductible rather than the full amount. We give you a clear assessment before work starts.
Yes. We document the loss thoroughly, provide the moisture logs and photos your adjuster needs, and communicate with your carrier from first notice through final payment, so you are not stuck translating between the restorer and the adjuster.
A plumber stops the leak. A restoration company handles everything the water already touched. The plumber repairs the pipe or fixture, and the restoration team extracts the water, dries the structure to standard, prevents mold, and rebuilds what was damaged. Most water losses need both.
Both. We handle the full process from emergency extraction and drying through reconstruction, so the same team that dried your home also rebuilds it. Keir is a licensed general contractor, CSLB #1157517, which means the repairs are handled in house rather than handed off.
