How long does structural drying take?

Most structures dry in three to five days, though heavily saturated materials or hardwood can take longer. We monitor daily and stop based on readings, not a fixed schedule, so it takes exactly as long as the materials need.

How do you know when my home is dry?

We measure it. The affected materials have to reach the same moisture level as a dry, unaffected reference area, which is the IICRC dry standard. We do not pull equipment because the surface looks or feels dry.

Why are there so many machines, and why so long?

The number of air movers and dehumidifiers is set by the S500 class of the loss, and it is what the space needs to dry correctly. If your adjuster questions the equipment or the days, we have the daily logs and the class calculation to back every one.

Can I just use my own fans to dry it out?

Household fans move air but do not pull moisture out of it, so the water often migrates into walls and subfloors and turns into mold and warping. Proper drying pairs air movers with dehumidifiers and measures the result.

Do you check inside walls and under floors?

Yes. Most of the water that causes long term damage is hidden. We use moisture meters and thermal imaging to find it, dry it, and confirm it is gone, not just the surface.
