Why it matters

Why the first day matters after a fire.

Once the fire is out, the damage does not stop. Soot is acidic and keeps eating into surfaces, smoke keeps spreading, and the water from the hoses sits and soaks in. The fastest way to protect what can still be saved is to call right away and to leave things alone until we arrive.

What we do

What our fire and smoke service includes.

Emergency board up and tarping

We secure the property right away, boarding windows and tarping the roof so weather and intruders do not add to the loss.

Soot and smoke removal

HEPA vacuuming, dry sponging and specialized cleaning lift soot and smoke residue off walls, ceilings and contents.

Deep deodorization

Thermal fogging, hydroxyl and air scrubbing remove smoke odor at the source instead of masking it.

Contents cleaning and pack out

We clean, deodorize and inventory salvageable belongings, and pack out what needs off site restoration.

HVAC and hidden smoke

We address the ductwork and the places smoke travels, so the smell does not keep coming back through the vents.

Reconstruction

The same crew rebuilds from structural repairs to finishes, so you have one team from board up to move back in.

What a fire leaves

Three kinds of damage, one crew.

A fire almost never leaves just one kind of damage. Handling all three at once, with one team, is what gets your home fully back.

Soot and char

Acidic and fast

Soot is acidic. Within hours it etches glass, corrodes metal and stains surfaces for good, which is why the first day matters.

Smoke and odor

Gets into everything

Smoke works into porous materials, wall cavities and your HVAC, which is why the smell lingers long after the cleanup.

Firefighting water

Damage underneath

The water used to put out the fire becomes its own water loss, with drying and mold risk on top of the fire damage.

Common causes

Fire and smoke losses we handle.

How it works

From board up to move back in.

  1. 01

    Secure and assess

We board up, tarp and document the full extent of the fire, smoke and water damage from the first walkthrough.

  2. 02

    Clean soot and smoke

HEPA vacuuming, surface cleaning and contents care remove soot and smoke residue from the structure and belongings.

  3. 03

    Deodorize and restore air

Thermal fogging, hydroxyl and air scrubbing remove the odor at the source, and we verify the air before rebuild.

  4. 04

    Rebuild and verify

The same crew repairs and rebuilds to pre loss condition and walks the finished home with you.

Insurance

Documented for a claim bigger than it looks.

Fire losses are large and easy to underscope. The smoke spreads past the burned room, the firefighting water becomes its own loss, and contents add up fast. We document the full extent to the IICRC S700 standard, inventory your belongings, and bill your carrier directly, so the claim reflects everything the fire actually cost you.

Questions

Fire and smoke, answered.

Is soot and smoke residue dangerous?

Yes. Soot contains fine particulate and known carcinogens, and it irritates the lungs, eyes and skin. Do not disturb it yourself, because that sends it airborne and spreads it through the home.

Does insurance cover fire damage?

Fire is a covered peril on standard homeowner policies, so fire losses are usually covered, including the smoke and the water used to put the fire out. We document the full loss and the contents and bill your carrier directly.

Can the smoke smell really be removed?

Yes, when it is treated at the source rather than masked. We use thermal fogging, hydroxyl generators, sealing and HVAC cleaning to remove the odor, not air fresheners that wear off. If smoke reached porous materials, some may need to be removed.

Should I try to clean the soot myself?

No. Wiping soot with a cloth or a household cleaner sets the stain and grinds it in, and the acidity keeps damaging surfaces. Professional dry methods lift it without setting it, so leave it for the crew.

Do you handle the rebuild too?

Yes. We are a licensed general contractor, so the same team that secures and cleans your home also rebuilds it, from structural repairs through paint and finishes.
